WhatsApp Unveils Revamped Group Settings Interface for iPhone Users

WhatsApp, a popular instant messaging application, is reportedly working on introducing a fresh interface for the group settings screen on iOS. The redesigned screen aims to simplify group administration for users, particularly group administrators. Users who have installed the latest update from the App Store and are group administrators can now try out this revamped interface.

The new interface includes improved controls that make it easier for group administrators to manage the group, including the ability to decide who can add members. While the official changelog does not mention the redesigned group settings screen, reputable sources, such as WABetaInfo, have confirmed its wide rollout.

In addition to the revamped interface, WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is also introducing a feature called “Add Other Participants.” This feature grants group administrators the ability to choose who has the authority to add new members to the group. Users who currently don’t have access to this feature may receive it gradually in the upcoming weeks.

The updated group settings screen is now available to iOS users who have installed the latest WhatsApp update from the App Store. Additionally, it is being rolled out to users who are part of the beta version. To ensure you receive the feature in the future, it is recommended to regularly update your WhatsApp from the App Store and the TestFlight app if applicable.

In other news, WhatsApp recently launched a new private tool called Channels, which allows admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls to their followers in a one-way broadcast. Initially available in Colombia and Singapore, the tool will gradually expand its availability to users in more countries in the coming months. As a channel admin, your phone number and profile photo remain hidden from followers, ensuring the protection of your personal information.
